Our English level three class is over. We had a big celebration with certificates, singing, dancing the Hoki Poki and lots of food. John James wore a traditional African outfit for the festivities. It was a day of great rejoicing! We will start a new class in January.

We made forty-five of these little mangers with baby Jesus to give to the Primary children at the Kasa Vubu Ward Christmas party. The children loved them. We used our milk and juice boxes we had saved. We covered them with used brown envelopes and shredded others to make the straw. The babies were made from some of Elder Moon's socks and some material left over from other projects.
Our three wisemen for our Nativity presentation.
Joseph and some of the shepherds.
Children dressed for the Nativity scene.
Mary and some of the angels.
Dressing the Primary children for the Nativity scene. They acted it out as it was read from the scriptures for the ward Christmas party. We made all the costumes from fabric that had been left from previous missionaries and items we had at our apartments. Sister Livingstone and Sister Bailey were a big help making the costumes and mangers.

Elder and Sister Barlow went home the end of October so we were asked to do a few of the Humanitarian things to keep some of the projects going. This is a group that assisted Elder Moon as he installed a video camera and TV monitor onto an operation microscope table at St. Joseph's Hospital Eye Surgery Center.
These pictures were taken a few months ago at a village where the Barlows had done a water project. The project consisted of two wells up in the village. These pictures show many of the villagers walking to the river, washing their laundry, bathing, and filling their water containers to take back to their homes in the village.
